The price of gold in Nepal surged by Rs 1,500 per tola (11.66 grams) on Friday, after three consecutive days of decline.
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association has set the price of fine gold at Rs 157,100 per tola for Friday (September 20), up from Rs 155,600 on Thursday.
On September 16, fine gold was traded at Rs 157,300 per tola, the highest ever recorded price in Nepal’s history.
The price of yellow metal has surged in the international market of late.
Meanwhile, silver prices also saw a jump, increasing by Rs 35 per tola, according to the Federation.
Silver is being traded at Rs 1,915 per tola, up from Rs 1,880 the previous day.
